1. Quick clean up of your house
Straightening up your house will definitely set you up for a better week. Coming home to a clean home the best! Remember – Outer order brings inner calm.
2. Clean out fridge, menu plan, and grocery shop.
Clean out your fridge, toss out the bad, organize the good. Plan out your menu for the week, dinners, lunches, etc. I find it best to grocery shop on Sundays because I can’t count on having time during the already busy week. This step is probably the most important one for me as a mom! Click here to download a free grocery list printable that I use!
3. Clean out kids back packs and folders
Graded papers? Daycare forms? Permission slips? It’s much better to get this out of the way now instead of having surprises at 7am in the morning as you are scrambling to get out the door for school.
4. Plan outfits for the coming week for the whole family
Getting the laundry done for at least the clothes you need for the coming week is crucial for me. Uniforms washed and hung, hubby’s dry cleaner bag ready to go, and having my go to stay at home mom yoga pants ready for action 😉
5. Quick clean out of purse and car
My purse gets cluttered by the end of the week. Receipts, kids trash, empty gum wrappers. For some reason, my purse can sometimes become the family’s catch all station while we are out and about. Cleaning it out fresh once a week really helps me feel organized! Same with my vehicle. Empty water bottles, baseball gloves, and misc trash needs to all get out because I literally feel calmer when I’m running back and forth with school and errands with a cleaned out car!
6. Write out your weekly To-Do List
Get your calendar organized. Get to do lists ready. List out your goals for the week. This will help set you up for success. Having everything written out and planned helps declutter my mind instead of trying to just remember it all.
7. Pamper yourself
Lastly, I like to pamper myself at the end of Sunday to help me relax and have some down time before the Monday morning hits. Whether it’s a pedicure, face mask, or a nice relaxing bath with a book, it feels good to do something to refresh myself.
I find the better I plan out my week, then more free time seems to pop up. I’m not always feeling unorganized or playing catch up during the week to help things run smoothly. I get all this done on a Sunday as quickly as I can so I can have a good quality day off with the family to re-energize for the week ahead. Put some of these tips to work this Sunday and see if they help you too! Here is a link to my Etsy printable shop if you want some helpful to do lists for your week!
Have a great week!
